ANNUAL CLUB CONCOURS

Sunday 23 MAY 2010

VENUE: Johannesburg Country Club, Auckland Park

DIRECTIONS: Main entrance Napier Road, off Empire Road, Auckland Park, Johannesburg

TIME: Judging from 9am to 12pm. Lunch at 1pm.

COST: R275 per person inclusive of drinks and gratuities.

Once again, the Rolls-Royce and Bentley Owners Club hosts its annual Club Concours. This has fast become our premier event of the calendar, and we have boasted over 40 of the finest motor cars at each showing over the last few years.

Bring your car along for judging where you can compete for class honours. Even if it is not in perfect condition, entering your car will provide valuable tips from the judges on areas for improvement. Our aim is for a fun day out celebrating these fine motor cars and encouraging owners to pay extra attention to all aspects of the vehicle - keeping them in the best condition possible for the next generation to enjoy too.

Even if you would rather not enter your vehicle, join us for light refreshments on the terrace while the cars are judged and then on to lunch and the awards presentations.

Logistics
We will again arrange the vehicles according to the categories listed above. If you could park in the designated areas: oldest cars far end away from the clubhouse, and newest cars nearest the club house - one of the organisers will direct you. Please ensure that you have collected a judging form and completed the initial information, including the chassis number of your vehicle, and left this on your windscreen. Also remember to leave your vehicle unlocked - if the judges cannot get into the interior, boot or engine bay, these cannot be scored!

Timing
Judging will commence from 9am, and needs to be concluded by 12.30pm to allow for final score calculation and preparations for the presentations. The absolute latest a vehicle can be entered is 12pm to allow enough time to judge it fairly and thoroughly.
